They're Back!

The year came and went and my parents made it home. My family got together over memorial day weekend to get some spring cleaning done around their house. We wanted to play when they got home, they didn't have time to clean! It was fun just all being together.

Mike and Jeff pulling weeds.

FINALLLY! The kids couldn't wait for Grandma and Grandpa to pull into the house. I think my dad started honking around Holden and pretty soon we could hear it!
A big hug for Grandma from Danny Syd and Jonah

Max doesn't remember Grandma too well, but he loved her right away. I think the feeling was mutual.

Max and Grandpa getting to know each other again while Danny just hangs on and hugs.

The kids had so much fun making signs and posters and hanging up balloons. After the grand arrival we all sat in the backyard and had lunch....and laughed at how it felt like they'd never really left. But they did, and they were great missionaries, and they loved every minute of it, and I'm glad they're home.

Play Ball!

We've been spending a lot of time at the ball park this summer. Sydni is in softball and really likes it. She's not the best player on the team, but she's learning.
Jonah is loving coach pitch. He seems to love every sport, and is a pretty good little athlete. He can't wait to hit a home run! Its been such crazy weather he had a lot of games cancelled. But it all worked out great since they're making up their games and Grandpa Gary will be here to watch!

Lets be honest, Danny is in it for the treat after the game. But its still good for a laugh!

I think we're in for many more summers at the ball park. And thats okay with me!

Stock Show

Sydni decided to do the stock show again this year. After a couple of tragedies with her lambs, she finally got one that didn't die and decided to show a little heifer calf too. She totally fell in love with that calf, it was cute. She ended up winning 3rd place with her calf and got a plaque and a trophy. Pretty exciting!

Learning to shave her calf to get ready to show

walking, walking, walking her calf. Lots of work,
but it paid off.

Ogden Half Marathon

We had so much fun running the marathon relay in Ogden last year, we decided to go back again this year. But instead of the relay we had some run the 5k some run the half and the really tough ones run the marathon! Once again, it started with lunch at the cheesecake factory....the best part. We learned from our mistakes last year, so this year it was no hotel for us. Instead we got a house right on pineview reservoir. It was so nice! We had so much fun just hanging out together. I was nervous about the weather, but it couldn't have been better. It really was a fun run.
Lunch time!
the half-marathoners: Tiff, Dani, me, Amber

I seriously couldn't have ran this race without Amber
She was the best running partner for me!

The whole group. I love all these girls!
Congratulations to everyone that ran. Especially Michelle and Shannon for running the full marathon. You guys are awesome!

Brianhead

The kids had Monday off so we decided to head down to Brianhead and try out the tubing. None of us ski or snowboard so tubing is our winter sport. I couldn't believe how much the kids loved it and never got tired of it. It was a perfect day and not busy at all so it was really fun! The kids are a little disappointed that we decided to try this out at the end of the season, but we'll for sure be back next winter!
