As I was wasting time on the computer today, I came across a blog of a friend of a friend of a friend. AKA total stranger! (I'm sure I'm not the only one who does this, right?) Well, this stranger whom I now know a lot about had 4 kids, thought she was done, got pregnant again....sound familiar? Anyway, she had posted an awesome poem about how kids grow up so fast and how we will miss all the things they do. (Yes, I have heard this a million times) But this one hit me a little harder than others and I started thinking about my own kids. They are growing up faster than I ever thought possible! Hailey in particular. I never take the time to tell her how great she is....how beautiful she is....how much I appreciate her! I've got to do better, I thought to myself! I will do better!

In the middle of my blog-stalking, Hailey had asked if she could make cookies, which she does often. Sure, just don't forget the sugar and crisco this time! I tasted the dough and it was delicious! I ate way too much! The cookies turned out great. Then she decided to take a bath......then I smelled smoke!!

Whoops! She forgot she had a batch of cookies still in the oven when she decided to take that bath! I'll admit I freaked out a little....but then tried to go back to the blog of the total stranger and remember that these are the things I will miss some day!

And another not so positive note. We now know our smoke alarms DON'T WORK!

Dear Max....PLEASE grow some teeth! This is getting really OLD!!!

Worth the Wait!

Back in November of 2007 (feels like forever ago) Justin surprised me with tickets to Celine Dion for our anniversary. I had been wanting to see her in Vegas forever and then it ended and I was so bummed out. So when I saw these tickets I started screaming I was so excited! He had lined up babysitters, we were going to spend the night, it was going to be great. Plus....it was only two days away! WRONG! I got looking at the tickets and they said Nov. 2008. Oh! What a bummer! Poor Justin was so disappointed! Oh well, at least we had something to look forward to next year. Well, November 2008 rolled around (we'd had another baby by now, and didn't know if the concert was even a possibility) And come to find out, the concert had been postponed to February! We were begining to think this just wasn't meant to be! Lucky for us, time flies, and let me just say....It was worth the wait! It was the best concert I have ever been to. (Not that I have been to a lot, but still) She was totally amazing! I loved every second of it! We had incredible seats too, so that was just another bonus! When she walked out on the ramp we were only 8 rows back! It was awesome! It all worked out great. My super awesome mom kept my kids (with a little help from a great sister and sister-in-laws) and we got to spend the night. A night away is nothing short of a miracle when you have five kids! It was so fun to spend time with Justin. We ate A LOT, shopped just a little (I didn't marry a big shopping fan) and had a great time. Now Justin thinks he's already off the hook for our anniversary this year....wrong again!! :)

Another 5k

Today me and a few of my friends ran a 5k here in Delta. Actually, I better give credit where credit is due...Stacia ran the 10k. It was a lot of fun and the weather couldn't have been better. Looking forward to the next one! Afterwards, we all went to the Rancher for breakfast to celebrate Kim's birthday. It was lots of fun....Good Job Girls!!
