How lucky are we?

My kids are so lucky to grow up with both sets of Granparents close by. They love spending time with them. We are all even in the same ward, so it's pretty great. They do so much for us and our kids and I just want to tell them THANKS!

Family pics

We were definately over due for some family pictures, so I finally decided to bite the bullet and just do it. Max wasn't too cooperative (surprise) but everyone else did pretty good. If you want to check them out go to http://www.kbennettphotography.blogspot.com/
She is such an awsome photographer! Her blog and website are so much fun to look at.
This is only a few, there were lots more I can't wait to see and post soon.

Crazy Boys

I couldn't believe when I looked outside this evening. Jonah had tied a sled to his bike and was trying to pull Danny. He could NOT figure out why it wasn't working. Hmmm.....Maybe because Danny weighs more than him. Danny was pretty bummed too, he was really looking forward to his ride. It is so funny watching boys do boy things. I think his idea will work better with the four wheeler pulling the sled in snow.

And.....we got our first flower in our yard. I was so happy, I had to take a picture.

Growing....

I had to tease him a little with his paccy to get
him to smile for me.

I think he will be outgrowing this soon!
He loves being on his belly, even in the tub.
Lots of hair in back, not so much in front
Getting out is the worst part!

I can't believe Max is seven weeks already. Why does it seem the last seven weeks of pregnancy drag on forever? These last seven have flown by. He's a pretty good baby most of the time and he sleeps pretty good, which is highly unusual for my babies. His big brothers and sisters still love him, sometimes a little too much. He is starting to smile, and loves taking baths so I tried to get a couple cute pictures of him today. I took him to his six week appt. last week and he weighed 11 lbs. 15 oz. so basically 12 lbs already. He is growing so fast.

Funny Boys

The other day Justin asked Jonah if he liked his teacher. Of course he said, yes. Then Justin (being the teaser he is) asked if she was pretty. Jonah stopped and thought for a minute and said, "I'm pretty sure when she was in Kindergarten she was pretty." We laughed so hard.

Yesterday Danny was watching Dora and she was telling the kids to jump with her. Justin asked Danny, "can you jump high?" Danny said, "no." Justin said, "why not?" Danny said, "I'll hit my head on the fans." For those of you who haven't seen my house, our ceiling in our family room is probably 15 feet high! I really don't think he has anything to worry about. But how hilarious that he thinks he can really jump that high!!

After Sunday dinner I was doing the dishes alone as usual. Everyone has much better things to do than help me after dinner. Pretty soon Danny came up behind me and said, "Thanks for doing the dishes." I couldn't believe it! I don't think anyone around here has ever thanked me for doing the dishes. What a sweetie.

Special Day

Who would have thought she'd turn into such a toe head!

Syd and (tired) Max

With Syd before her baptism

Practicing her song one last time

Syd and Uncle Nate. He's a pretty fun uncle!

Today was a very special day for our family. Syd was baptized by Nate, confirmed by Justin, then we blessed Max. Justin was a little stressed out giving two blessings back to back, but he did a GREAT job. Syd was so excited to be baptized. We got to the church this morning (I had to get up at 6:30 to make sure we were all ready and out the door by 10:30! Wow I have a lot of kids) and we were getting her jump suit out of the closet. I held it up to her and she said, "are there any dresses?" Ya, the jump suits aren't the prettiest, but she wore it and looked cute as ever. The bishop conducted and did a spotlight on Syd. Then LeAnn gave a wonderful talk. I kept looking at Syd and she really looked like she was listening and paying attention so she could remember everything LeAnn was saying. Then Syd sang, "I'm trying to be like Jesus". She always does such a cute job when she sings. Then Nate baptized her. When she came up out of the water, Danny said....."WHOA!!" (really loud) I guess he thought it was pretty cool. When I was helping Syd get dressed she said, "I don't think Nate stepped on my feet like he was going to, I don't know, maybe he did. I was having too much fun to notice." I thought that was so cute. While Syd was getting dressed, everyone watched a slide show Justin had made. It turned out really good, I cried the whole time. Both blessings were awsome and I was really proud of Justin. I thought I had a big job making the dinner for afterwards, but I would rather do that any day! Max was perfect through the whole blessing. After, we all came back to our house and had lunch in the backyard. It was perfect weather outside and I think everyone had a good time. Especially the big boys, they all ended up in the theater room playing PS3. I am realizing more every day how fast kids grow. As I watched Syd's slideshow I wished I could go back in time, just for a minute, and enjoy her more as a baby and toddler. It's gone by so fast it's hard to remember how she used to be. She is a good girl and I'm so glad she's my daughter. Before long she'll be a teenager and I'll be wishing I could remember her baptism!

The Kiddos

I have been using our laptop forever, and now we finally have a desktop again, which I love. Justin transferred all of our pictures over to the new computer and I've been having fun looking at them all since I haven't seen them in a long time. These are some pictures I got taken of the kids last fall. We will be updating soon, and adding Max, but I had to post these, they're too cute.

Good times!!

We had our first party in our backyard last weekend. It turned out really fun. Everyone helped with the food, and it was all really good. Kim and Cory, Brian and Tiff, Todd and Michelle, Kurtis and Stacia, Nate and Misty, and Kathy all came with all their kids. The kids had a great time runninig around on the grass and riding bikes. Luckily there were minimal injuries and almost no blood!! The weather was great too and we can't wait to do it again. I put Hailey in charge of the pictures so they aren't the best.....but they'll do.
